Do you know one of the best quality that you could develop by learning is to read people’s mind.
If you learn this skill you could easily make decisions whom to trust and not trust.
For me I have gained this life and different experiences but yes for you, you can learn all these behaviours that would easily help you in life.
You are not going to judge them with their clothes, how they look, their job or how much money they have, not even by how confident they sound but just by noticing the small behaviours that most people completely miss.
Because people reveal who they are long before they tell you who they are not through their words but through their reaction, their habits and the tiny decision’s that they make every single day.
Today i am going to share one of the most common behaviours that you could easily judge that would reveal the other person’s character.
These are the behaviours that i personally notice and pay attention when i meet someone and even if you start noticing these behaviours too i can almost guarantee you that you will become much better at reading people.
Now let’s dive into it.
Watch someone’s how they react on someone’s else’s success
One of the fastest way to understand someone’s mindset is to watch what happens when the other person shares a good news.
Ex – if someone come and say Hi ! I got a promotion for this role or someone says hey! i bought a new house or any other big news etc.
After hearing this some people would be like more curious and they say Amazing ! Wow ! Congratulations and they would like to know how you did it?
Whereas the other people be immediately change the subject oh that’s nothing, i have done something better. I have done such and such it’s not a big deal. They would try to reduce the achievement via their words or via body language.
Now does that mean they are a bad person, not necessarily but it often reveals something very, very deep that is insecurity because secure people does not feel threatened by someone else success, they are interested because curiosity comes from confidence.
Constance comparison often comes from insecurity.
So next time if someone shares something, see and feel how the other person’s reacting in the group of people. It tells you far more than you think, it will reveal the biggest insecurity of people around you.
Listen to how people talk about their past
Everyone in their life have different experience, probably a difficult boss, wrong partner, wrong group of people, a failed business or anything. The problem is not they had a challenge in their life, the real question is how they talk about those experiences in their life.
Ex – There are two persons let’s name them A and B. So now A says they in my last job / in company myself and my manager had differences but i had learned a lot from that job. My manager was tough but just because of him i gained these expertise.
And B says my boss was terrible, my office mates were useless, everyone was against me, that job was useless , i had a bad time their and Some of the things could be true but if every story has only one victim and there is always that victim and rest everyone is villain in their story , people will actually wonder will they ever speak about me the same way one day.
Because people how describes their pasts often predicts how they speak about the people in the future too, so just remember this.
Do their action match their words ?
Now anybody can make promises or make claims, big claims. Very few people build a reputation.
Ex – Someone say you that i will send you the documents tonight but days past, weeks past and even months past. It could be some emergency but if it is a regular behaviour that means something is wrong.
Another example if someone says that we should definitely catch up – months past no message. If again if it’s one or two time that is fine but if it is a regular action then i believe that trust is not built by big speeches. It is build by consistency.
Every promise you keep creates credibility, every promise you make slowly damages it.
So people don’t remember what you intended to do they remember what you actually did.
Signing off !
