Have we ever thought that sometimes we forget things ?
We started the conversation but we forgot the topic ? We opened the fridge but we forgot why we actually open ? We called someone for something but we forgot the topic ?
We have not done anything physical in the whole day but we mentally drained in the evening ?
This happens to all of us, have we ever thought why it actually happened ?
Today in this blog we will discuss 3 daily small habits which really effect’s our brain.
1. First habit is touching our phone when we wake up.
This is very common, we call this as Autopilot mode. We wake up and we touch the screen, we see the notifications, social media and so on. This is the worst habit that we do and this habit slowly damages our brain.
So from tomorrow onwards start doing this thing – When ever you wake up, do not touch screen for first 15 minutes. Take a glass of water and take a natural light with a thought what is the most important task of the day. Do this for 21 days and see the difference.
2. Second habit is Doom Scrolling. This is what all the youngsters do. You take the phone for just 5 minutes and you do not realize that you spend 40 minutes & it’s gone.
At the same time when you start reading a book, you could not read continuous for 20 minutes. The reason is while scrolling social apps your brain is designed to get something new and entertaining whereas when you read a book you wont get that stimulus. Hence your concentration is gone.
Now to get rid of this habit what you have to do is – Whenever you get the urge to see the phone without any reason, just postpone it for 20 minutes. In the starting it would be very difficult but slowly you brain is trained not to touch the phone without any reason.
3. Third habit is multi-tasking. In today’s world we think that if we do this we are so talented that you are doing these things at a same time but actually this is taking your brain strength.
Some time while we watch movie, we order something. We study but we do scroll. While doing office checking shopping list or other things at the same time.
We teach our brain that you are genius but we don’t know it is a very bad habit. Behind our science it teaches about the hidden cost. Once you get interrupted from doing something and to resume the same thing again you have to go and put more energy with more focus.
This is the only reason that when we come back from office we feel emotionally drained because we used our brain more than it was required because we got interrupted by something.
So from now onwards start making this habit when ever you feel like doing 2 things or more things simultaneously. Divide the time and parts, if you are doing one task it means just one, keep your phone aside or silent for 30 minutes and same do this with the other task.
So just 1 task at a time. A healthy brain is a brain where you get to know how deeply you could do one task.
I hope you like my blog.
